Campsite Activities

The activity process includes the following experiences:

1) Safe firewood chopping experience

i) Introduce the historical background of firewood cooking, the correct method of obtaining and using firewood branches, and the awareness of ecological protection.

ii) Safe firewood splitting experience: Different from the traditional use of an ax to split firewood, the firewood branches are fixed on an iron frame with a blade, and participants use a wooden hammer to hit the firewood branches to achieve the effect of splitting firewood.

2) Lotus leaf beggar chicken

The ingredients before roasting have been prepared properly.

By using prefabricated wood components and splicing them together using a mortise and tenon method, a mini Twisk campsite lamp holder can be engraved with custom text or patterns.

The main materials of the illuminated note holder are wood, mini note pads, mini potted pens and some dry battery-connected lamps.

Activity location: Twisk Nature Trail

Activity period: 14:00 to 11:00 on the second day

Length of hiking route: The entire hiking route is about 2 kilometers and takes about 1 hour.

Purpose of activity:

Hiking activities are provided to campers at Twisk Campground, allowing them to take short-distance hiking activities on the Tsuen Kam Nature Education Trail near Tsuen Kam Campsite.

There are many Melaleuca leucophylla, Taiwan Acacia, etc. in the Education Trail. Melaleuca has thick, soft bark and can grow in drought or flooded environments. Taiwan Acacia is like a doctor to the land. Its root system contains nitrogen-fixing bacteria, which can improve barren land. The Twisk Nature Education Trail is designed as a looping mountain trail. In addition to plant ecology, you can also see giant forest spiders and imitating stick insects along the way. You can also overlook the tallest Tai Mo Shan in Hong Kong and learn about the volcanic rocks of Tai Mo Shan from the rocks on the road. Geology.

This event hopes to encourage more campers to go to Tai Lam Country Park to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Personal experience is the best education.

活動流程包括以下體驗：

1) 安全劈柴體驗

i) 介紹柴火煮食的歷史背景，獲取和使用柴枝的正確方法及保護生態的意識。

ii) 安全劈柴體驗: 與傳統使用斧頭劈柴不同，將柴枝固定在附有刀片的鐵架上，參加者使用木鎚敲打柴枝，達至劈柴效果。

2) 荷葉叫化雞

火烤前的食材已經製作妥善。
