Activity location: Twisk Nature Trail

Activity period: 14:00 to 11:00 on the second day 

Length of hiking route: The entire hiking route is about 2 kilometers and takes about 1 hour.

Purpose of activity:

Hiking activities are provided to campers at Tsuen Kam Campground, allowing them to take short-distance hiking activities on the Tsuen Kam Nature Education Trail near Tsuen Kam Campsite.

There are many Melaleuca leucophylla, Taiwan Acacia, etc. in the Education Trail. Melaleuca has thick, soft bark and can grow in drought or flooded environments. Taiwan Acacia is like a doctor to the land. Its root system contains nitrogen-fixing bacteria, which can improve barren land. The Tsuen Kam Nature Education Trail is designed as a looping mountain trail. In addition to plant ecology, you can also see giant forest spiders and imitating stick insects along the way. You can also overlook the tallest Tai Mo Shan in Hong Kong and learn about the volcanic rocks of Tai Mo Shan from the rocks on the road. Geology.

This event hopes to encourage more campers to go to Tai Lam Country Park to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Personal experience is the best education.

Detailed process:

1) Campers who have registered at Tsuen Kam Camp can purchase the "Tsuen Kam Nature Trail Self-guided Tour Incentive Workshop" hiking backpack at the Tsuen Kam Camp Service Center or the Travelfly website.

2) The small hiking backpack contains:

i) Tsuen Kam beautiful scenery details, routes and designated stamping locations, hiking safety information (including hiking SOS app download QR code)

ii) A nice little hiking backpack packed with light meals, electrolyte drinks, etc.

iii) One bonus workshop activity card

3) Participants can start hiking at any time during the check-in and check-out time at Twisk Campsite (14:00 to 11:00 on the second day).

4) During the hike, there are 2 stamp locations. Find the stamp at the designated location and stamp it directly on the activity card.

5) After completion, collect the game cards with 2 seals and return them to the Tsuen Kam Camp Service Center, and you will receive a beautiful souvenir.
